students from C-09 Scheme into C-14 Scheme  for the academic year  2016-17 -Instructions Communicated – Reg.

                With reference to the Circular 2nd cited above, this is to inform that necessary guide lines were issued for the Re-admissions of students from C-09 to C-14 scheme at 1st year and 3rd semester level as below

                1. Any student who seeks readmission from C-09 scheme to C-14 scheme has to
Complete the diploma within double the duration of the course from the date of
his/her first admission; otherwise the candidate forfeits the diploma. An
                Undertaking is to be given by such candidates to the said effect.

2. The readmitted candidate has to appear and pass the additionalsubjects as
identified by the subject experts on his/her own and no separate classes will be
conducted for the additional subjects.

3. The readmitted candidate has to give an undertaking stating that he/she will abide
by the rules and regulations framed under C-14 scheme only.

4. If a candidate in 1st year C-09  scheme is detained and given permission for  re –
admission he will be admitted into I year C-14 scheme.

5. A candidate who seeks readmission from C-09 scheme to C-14 scheme has to
complete all backlog subjects in C-09 scheme only, up to the semester of

6. In promotion rule to appear for 4th,5th or 6th / 7th semester examination,
Additionalsubjects are not counted for the calculation of number of backlog

7. Exemption will be given for the subjects, which he/she has already studied in C-09
scheme as identified by subject experts.

8. A C-09 scheme candidate can be readmitted in to the respective semestersi.e. 3rd,
4th,  5th and 6th/7th semester, under C-14 scheme, where the candidate is discontinued/detained.

9. No sessional marks are to be awarded for additional/ substitute/deficient  subjects.    
    However,  the candidate shall appear for additional/ substitute subject(s)  end    
examination and the maximum marks of the paper shall be scaled to maximum
marks of  the subject  including sessional  marks.

                In addition to the above, the following guide lines are further issued for the Re-admissions of the students in 4th, 5th and 6th/7th semesters in C-14 scheme from C-09 scheme.
a)     Candidatesre-admitted in 4th semester of C-14 scheme from C-09 scheme have to study the subjects of C-14 and appear the exam accordingly. Upon completion of 4th semestersuccessfully, they can continue in 5th 6th 7th semesters under C-14 scheme only.

b)     Candidates who have (Theory subjects) discontinued or detained in V semester (Theory subjects) and subsequently not attended the Industrial Training in VI sem of C-09 scheme shall be given re-admission in V sem of C-14 scheme and allowed to pursue VI sem of the same scheme (C-14) on fulfillment of  prerequisites as per C-14 norms.

c)     Candidates who have undergone 6 months industrial training in 5th semester and subsequently discontinued/detained in 6th semester of C-09 scheme and request for re-admission in 6th semester of C-14 scheme, have to study the subjects in 6th semester of C-14 scheme and appear the examination under C-14 scheme.

It is further informed that all the Principal of Polytechnic’s are requested to follow the V and VI semesters Syllabus of C-14 Scheme placed in SBTET website dated 03-05-2016 and C-16 scheme first year Branch wise Syllabus placed in SBTET website dated 10-06-2016 respectively until the curriculum books are received.

                In view of the above all the Principals of Polytechnics are requested to give wide publicity to the students who are re-admitted from C-09 Scheme into C-14 Scheme by displaying it in the Notice Board and also communicate the same to the Heads of Section and respective faculty.
